Enter what you process in rentals per month and the licence you were quoted, and see what a year costs under a monthly subscription against Share Marketplace’s per-transaction plans and its flat plan. Find the revenue where the two cross.
Most rental platforms charge a monthly licence, often by tier and by user, whether or not anything rents that month. Share Marketplace charges a percentage of each transaction (Starter 3%, Growth 2%, Enterprise 1%) or a flat plan for businesses that prefer a fixed figure. Neither is always cheaper: a percentage suits a seasonal or growing business that pays only when it gets paid; a licence suits a business with high, steady volume.
The calculator puts both on one page. Enter your monthly rental revenue (seasonal businesses can enter the in-season and off-season months separately), the licence and seats you were quoted, and it shows the annual cost of each plus the monthly revenue at which the percentage equals the licence. Above that line a fixed fee is cheaper; below it, the percentage.
It does not include card processing, which every platform passes through at the processor’s rate, and it does not quote any competitor’s price: the licence figure is yours to enter from their pricing page.
The pricing page: Starter at 3% per transaction, Growth at 2%, Enterprise at 1%, and the flat plan at $199 a month or $1,990 a year. The calculator uses those figures and nothing else.
No. Card processing is charged by Stripe or Square at their rates under any platform; the comparison leaves it out on both sides.
If the platform you are comparing has a free tier that fits your volume and features, enter 0 for the licence. The comparison will show the percentage plans costing more, which is honest.
