“Add a wool overcoat, $12 a day, brand Zara.” Before → after, then confirm.

Rex adds items, changes prices, deposits, categories and attributes, adds units and marks them for maintenance. Each change shows what it was and what it will be; you confirm, and you can undo.

How inventory by chat works

Tell Rex what to add or change. He builds a card listing every field as before → after: name, description, category and subcategory, price per period, deposit, visibility, taxes, booking flow, and any attribute the store set up, such as a size, a brand or a cleaning fee. He only uses the store’s own categories, attributes and tax profiles; when a value does not fit, he asks with the real options.

You can edit any value on the card, and the card rebuilds itself. Confirm saves through the same routes the inventory dashboard uses. Every change can be undone from the card: a new item is archived, an edited item gets its old values back, new units are archived, a unit’s status returns to what it was.

See the change before it happens

Every field on the card shows the current value struck through and the new one beside it, editable in place.

Add, rename, mark, archive

Add three more units, name their serials, put one into maintenance, archive the ones that are gone, restore the one you archived by mistake.

Every change comes with its way back

A new item is archived, an edit is reversed to the old values, new units are archived, a status goes back.

Questions about “add a wool overcoat, $12 a day, brand zara.” before → after, then confirm.

What can Rex change on an item?

Name, description, category and subcategory, price for every period (hour, day, week, month and the store’s own spans), deposit, visibility, rent-or-sell mode, booking flow, buffer time, delivery-only, tax profiles and every custom attribute. He can also add units, rename serials, set a unit’s status or condition, and archive or restore units.

Can it invent a category or attribute?

No. Rex uses the categories, attributes and tax profiles the store already has. If a value is not one of them, the card says which ones are, and you pick.

What about photos?

Photos stay on the item page. Rex does not add or delete images, because a deleted photo cannot be brought back.

Can I undo an inventory change?

Yes, from the card, after you confirm. Rex keeps the values from before the change and puts them back.

Who can do this?

Staff with inventory manage or create permission, the same as on the dashboard.

What does Rex cost?

Rex is an add-on to a Share Marketplace plan: $29.99 a month per store, for store admins, with a monthly usage allowance. Current plans and what each includes are on the pricing page.
