Bookings and contracts for boat rentals

A boat rental has three documents, not one: the waiver every adult aboard signs, the agreement the operator signs, and the checklist that records the boat’s condition at departure and return. Share Marketplace generates all three from the booking, sends them by SMS or email before arrival, and collects the signatures at the dock in the time it takes to fit the life jackets.

Bookings run by the hour, the half day and the day, with seasonal rates, minimums, dock hours and a turnaround between rentals. Operator rules (age, licence, permit) are stated on the booking page so a customer who cannot operate does not book.

Does every passenger have to sign?

The waiver is signed by every adult aboard (a guardian for minors); the agreement by the operator. Each signature is recorded separately on the booking.

Can documents be signed before the customer arrives?

Yes. A link goes out by SMS or email with the confirmation; whatever is not signed by arrival is signed at the dock.
