A hold for the repair, released when the dress is checked in.
Card holds or refundable deposits, late-return and damage charges from an itemised list, balances by link or at the counter, and invoices for productions.
Payments and deposits for dress rental
A dress deposit should cover a typical repair and come back fast. Share Marketplace holds a pre-authorization on the card at booking (Stripe or Square), releases it when the piece is scanned back in and checked, and captures only an itemised amount for damage or a late return, with a receipt.
Productions and stylists are invoiced from the showcase booking once it settles; the company is billed while the stylist gets the emails. Everything syncs to QuickBooks.

Questions about a hold for the repair, released when the dress is checked in.
Can I take deposits without holding a card?
Yes. Refundable deposits are recorded whichever way they were taken; holds are the cleaner default.
How is a production billed?
From the showcase booking once it settles: kept pieces at the rate, returned pieces at the fee, invoiced to the company.
